We take you to know and enjoy Villa de Leyva, a small Colombian township that despite being founded in 1572 it stopped in time and in 1954 it was declared as National Monument for its nice and awesome colonial architecture.
The tour starts from your hotel in Bogota and you will be transferred to this beautiful township located approximately 160 km northeast of Bogotá.
On the way, you will make a short stop at the “Puente de Boyacá”, a monument declared as Nation’s Cultural Heritage, recognized for its great importance for our country history, because it commemorate the historic victory of “La Batalla de Boyacá”, which granted independence to Colombia.
Arriving at Villa de Leyva, you will enjoy a stilly tour through the cobbled old alleys and you will get to know its big main square cobbled of 14,000 square meters that is surrounded by old but extraordinary colonial buildings.
In addition, during the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit the following Tourist attractions:
- Casa Terracota: The largest house in the world made entirely of clay and with the same technique as handicrafts are made.
- Centro de Investigaciones Paleontológicas (C.I.P): Paleontological Research Center and exhibition of a collection of Colombian marine monsters that coexisted with the dinosaurs.
- Parque Arqueológico de Moniquirá (El Infiernito): Lithic monument that has basically two components: 30 large columns of stone with phallic form, which are scattered in an irregular way by the place and more than 100 smaller columns arranged in two rows from east to west. (Optional)
- Ráquirá: Small municipality considered as the Colombia artisan capital, well known for its crafts made in Barro.
The tour is all inclusive
- Pick up and drop off private transportation service to and from your lodging place in Bogotá.
- Bilingual tour guide during the tour (English or Spanish).
- Tickets to the previously mentioned attractives.
- Medical insurance during the tour.
Note: Due to the big gastronomic proposal of Villa de Leyva we do NOT include lunch, so you can choose the proposal that best suits your tastes and budget.

Steps to book
Booking and Cancellation Policies
1. To confirm your booking you must do the payment of at least 20% of the total cost of the service and send the payment voucher with the requested information by WhatsApp, email or Facebook.
2. Children up to 4 years old do not pay. Children from 5 to 9 years old will pay 75% of the adult cost.
3. Children of 10 years and older will pay as adults. We will take into account the age fulfilled on the day of the service.
4. To obtain a full refund for cancellation, you must cancel maximum 48 hours before the start of the service. After this time, will take the deposit amount (20% of the total value of the tour) as administrative procedures.
5. Postponements or changes will be received only up to 24 hours before the start of the tour and will be accepted according to availability.
6. If the passenger does not show up on the day of service, they will lose 100% of the booking deposit.
7. In case of weather issues or natural disasters the tour will be postponed for a next date, the itinerary will be changed or we will refund 100% of the deposit in order for the passenger to take no risks.
The guide will have to wait for the passenger at the agreed pick-up point for 30 minutes from the agreed time for the start of the tour, after this time he should contact the company and if it is not possible to contact the passenger, the tour will be cancel and the guide will withdraw from the place.
8. The company is not responsible for forgotten objects after the end of the tour.
9. In the event of an accident during the service, the guide or driver must be informed to make the insurance effective and guarantee medical attention. This can not be guaranteed if it is reported after the end of the service.
10. When making the booking, it is understood that you accept the booking and cancellation policies.
